Bildad Says Man Is Inferior

¹ Then Bildad the Shuhite ^(F1)answered,

² "^(C1)Dominion and awe ^(F1)belong to Him
Who establishes peace in ^(C2)His heights.

³ "Is there any number to ^(C1)His troops?
And upon whom does His light not rise?

⁴ "How then can a man be ^(C1)just with God?
Or how can he be ^(C2)clean who is born of woman?

⁵ "If even ^(C1)the moon has no brightness
And the ^(C2)stars are not pure in His sight,

⁶ How much less ^(C1)man, that ^(C2)maggot,
And the son of man, that worm!"
