God spoke to Moses and Aaron: "When someone has a swelling or a blister or a shiny spot on the skin that might signal a serious skin disease on the body, bring him to Aaron the priest or to one of his priest sons. The priest will examine the sore on the skin. If the hair in the sore has turned white and the sore appears more than skin deep, it is a serious skin disease and infectious. After the priest has examined it, he will pronounce the person unclean.

Abraham left Hebron and traveled to southern Canaan where he stayed awhile between Kadesh and Shur. When he moved to Gerar,
Abraham planted a tamarisk tree at Beersheba and prayed to the Lord , the God who lives forever.
So Joshua defeated all the kings of the cities of these areas: the mountains, southern Canaan, the western hills, and the slopes. The Lord , the God of Israel, had told Joshua to completely destroy all the people as an offering to the Lord , so he left no one alive in those places.
They will divide the land into seven parts. The people of Judah will keep their land in the south, and the people of Joseph will keep their land in the north.
Achish would ask David, "Where did you go raiding today?" And David would tell him that he had gone to the southern part of Judah, or Jerahmeel, or to the land of the Kenites.
They went to the strong, walled city of Tyre and to all the cities of the Hivites and Canaanites. Finally, they went to southern Judah, to Beersheba.

Aaron is addressed again, though left out in the preceding law, because the laws concerning leprosy chiefly concerned the priests, whose business it was to judge of it, and cleanse from it; and so Ben Gersom observes, mention is made of Aaron here, because to him and his sons belonged the affair of leprosies, to pronounce unclean or clean, to shut up or set free, and, as Aben Ezra says, according to his determination were all the plagues or strokes of a man, who should be declared clean or unclean:
saying; as follows.

CHAPTER XIII
Laws relative to the leprosy. It is to be known by a rising in
the flesh, a scab, or a bright spot, 1, 2.
When the priest sees these signs he shall pronounce the man
unclean, infected with the leprosy, and unfit for society, 3.
Dubious or equivocal signs of this disorder, and how the person
is to be treated in whom they appear, 4-8.
In what state of this disorder the priest may pronounce a man
clean or unclean, 9-13.
Of the raw flesh, the sign of the unclean leprosy, 14, 15.
Of the white flesh, the sign of the leprosy called clean, 16, 17.
Of the leprosy which succeeds a boil, 18-20.
