It is in my heart now to make a covenant with the Lord, the God of Israel so that his burning anger may turn away from us.
Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, that his fierce anger may turn away from us.
Now it is in mine heart to make a covenant with the Lord God of Israel, that his fierce wrath may turn away from us.

So I have decided to renew our agreement with the Lord God of Israel. Maybe then he will stop being so angry at us.

So now I, Hezekiah, have decided to make an agreement with the Lord , the God of Israel. Then he will not be angry with us anymore.
And even now, because we have gone astray from following the LORD our God and have forsaken the covenant which he gave to our fathers, therefore he also has forsaken us.
"I have now decided to make a covenant with the Lord , the God of Israel, so that he will no longer be angry with us.

Now it is in mine heart to make a covenant with the Lord God of Israel,.... To renew one, as Asa and Jehoiada had done, promising to serve the Lord, and worship him according to his will:
that his fierce wrath might be turned from us; under the tokens of which they still continued, and might expect it to break forth in other instances, unless a reformation was made.
