Romans 5

Pards with God

1 Faith makes us right with God and this is the way to have peace in your life. 2 We ride in grace and we live to ride for Him.

3 We don't shy away from wrecks. We know getting through them gives us endurance. 4 Endurance gives us an authentic cowboy character, and this character gives us the strength to trust in the hope of salvation. 5 Hope in God doesn't disappoint. We can be sure he loves us because he sent the Holy Ghost as our guide to his love.

6 When we were hung up in the stirrup of sin, Christ came at just the right time and saved us by dying for our sins. 7 It's one thing for someone to die for a good person or an innocent child, 8 but God sent his son to die for us and we were no good at all. 9 God has accepted us because of his Son's blood, we no longer have to fear God's anger. 10 Since we have been made pards with God by Jesus's death, even though at the time we were not friends of God, we will most certainly be saved through his perfect life. 11 This new relationship with God is something we should celebrate daily. Jesus has made us pards with God.

Adam's Sin and Christ's Perfection

12 When Adam sinned, he doomed us all. Adam's sin brought death and no one escapes it because everyone sins. 13 Yes, there was sin in the world before God spelled it out in the Code. It wasn't counted as sin, but it was there. 14 The result was the same though—sin leads to death and everyone dies. Adam was a glimpse of things to come from Jesus. 15 Adam doomed everyone and Christ saves everyone who believes in him. This is God's wonderful grace. 16 The result of sin is very different from the result of grace. One led to condemnation and the other leads to forgiveness. 17 Adam's sin caused death. God's wonderful grace causes life. All who receive this grace will ride triumphantly forever through the one man, Jesus Christ.

18 I'm going to keep harping on this. Adam's one sin leads to death, Christ's death leads to life by being pards with God. 19 One person disobeyed God and we all become sinners. Another cowboy obeyed God and many will be made right with God because of it.

20 God's code was just to show everyone how many sins they had. But God was better at forgiving than we are at sinning. 21 Yes, sin ruled people's lives and it brought death, but now God's grace rules instead. We can stand with God now instead of against him. We now have eternal life because of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord.
