“The second came and said, ‘Master, your mina has made five minas.’
And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained fiue pounds.
And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.

Then the second came, saying, ‘Lord, your pound has made five pounds.'
And the second came, saying - Thy mina, lord, hath made five minas.
And the second came, saying: Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.

And the other came sayinge: Lorde thy poude hath encreased fyve pounde.

The seconde came also, and sayde: Syr, thy pounde hath wonne fyue pounde.
then the second came, and said, Lord, your pound has produc'd five more.
"The second said, ‘Master, I made a fifty percent profit on your money.'
"The next cowboy said, 'Here you go boss. I've started your colt, and you can drag calves off of him. He's moving real good off your feet, too.'

And the second came,.... He who was next, though less useful, yet equally diligent and active:
saying, Lord; acknowledging also the power and authority of Christ over him:
thy pound hath gained five pounds; is increased fivefold, or is turned to a fivefold account, to the interest of Christ, and good of immortal souls: the usefulness of the ministers of the Gospel is not alike; as they have gifts different one from another, so their improvements are different, and their labours, though faithful, do not turn to the same account,

Ten cities - We are not to suppose that this will be âliterallyâ fulfilled in heaven. Christ teaches here that our reward in heaven will be âin proportionâ to our faithfulness in improving our talents on earth.
