Bible Verse Review
  from Treasury of Scripure Knowledge

the number: Comparing the sacrifices offered on this occasion with those of Solomon at the dedication of the temple, we may form some idea of the decrease of the prosperity and riches of Judah, or of the decline of the general spirit of piety. 1 Kings 3:4, 1 Kings 8:63, 1 Chronicles 29:21, Ezra 6:17

Reciprocal: 2 Kings 16:15 - the king's burnt 2 Chronicles 7:5 - a sacrifice 2 Chronicles 29:35 - the burnt Ezra 3:5 - willingly Ezra 8:35 - offered burnt

Gill's Notes on the Bible

And the number of the burnt offerings which the congregation brought were seventy bullocks, one hundred rams, and two hundred lambs; all these were for a burnt offering to the Lord. Of which they had no part to feast but were wholly devoted to the Lord, by way of thankfulness to him.
