Esto también se conoce - El "objeto" de esta referencia a los tiempos peligrosos que iban a ocurrir, evidentemente era mostrar la necesidad de utilizar todas las precauciones para preservar la pureza de la iglesia, por el hecho de que tales escenas tristes debían abrirse sobre ella. CAPÍTULO III.

Tiempos peligrosos en los últimos días, por la apostasía y

maldad de los hombres, de los cuales se da una

descripción conmovedora ,1-7.

Les sucederá como a Janes y Jambres, que resistieron

Moisés , 8, 9.

El apóstol habla de sus persecuciones y sufrimientos, y muestra

que todos aquellos que vivirán una vida piadosa deben sufrir

persecución , 10-12,

porque los malos hombres y los engañadores irán de mal en peor , 13.

Se exhorta a Timoteo a continuar en las verdades que había recibido,

habiendo conocido las Escrituras desde niño , 14, 15.

Toda la Escritura es dada por inspiración divina , 16, 17.

NOTAS SOBRE EL CAP. III

verso 2 Timoteo 3:1 _ En los últimos días... Esto a menudo significa los días del Mesías, y algunas veces su significado se extiende a la destrucción de Jerusalén, ya que estos fueron propiamente los últimos días del estado judío. Pero la frase puede significar cualquier tiempo futuro , ya sea cercano o lejano .
