span data-lang="jpn" data-trans="kyb" data-ref="psa.31.1" class="versetxt"> 1 主よ、わたしはあなたに寄り頼みます。とこしえにわたしをはずかしめず、あなたの義をもってわたしをお助けください。2 あなたの耳をわたしに傾けて、すみやかにわたしをお救いください。わたしのためにのがれの岩となり、わたしを救う堅固な城となってください。3 まことに、あなたはわたしの岩、わたしの城です。み名のためにわたしを引き、わたしを導き、4 わたしのためにひそかに設けた網からわたしを取り出してください。あなたはわたしの避け所です。5 わたしは、わが魂をみ手にゆだねます。主、まことの神よ、あなたはわたしをあがなわれました。6 あなたはむなしい偶像に心を寄せる者を憎まれます。しかしわたしは主に信頼し、7 あなたのいつくしみを喜び楽しみます。あなたがわたしの苦しみをかえりみ、わたしの悩みにみこころをとめ、8 わたしを敵の手にわたさず、わたしの足を広い所に立たせられたからです。9 主よ、わたしをあわれんでください。わたしは悩み苦しんでいます。わたしの目は憂いによって衰え、わたしの魂も、からだもまた衰えました。10 わたしのいのちは悲しみによって消えゆき、わたしの年は嘆きによって消えさり、わたしの力は苦しみによって尽き、わたしの骨は枯れはてました。11 わたしはすべてのあだにそしられる者となり、隣り人には恐れられ、知り人には恐るべき者となり、ちまたでわたしを見る者は避けて逃げます。12 わたしは死んだ者のように人の心に忘れられ、破れた器のようになりました。13 まことに、わたしは多くの人のささやくのを聞きます、「至る所に恐るべきことがある」と。彼らはわたしに逆らってともに計り、わたしのいのちを取ろうと、たくらむのです。14 しかし、主よ、わたしはあなたに信頼して、言います、「あなたはわたしの神である」と。15 わたしの時はあなたのみ手にあります。わたしをわたしの敵の手と、わたしを責め立てる者から救い出してください。16 み顔をしもべの上に輝かせ、いつくしみをもってわたしをお救いください。17 主よ、わたしはあなたに呼ばわります、わたしをはずかしめないでください。悪しき者に恥をうけさせ、彼らに声をあげさせずに陰府に行かせてください。18 高ぶりと侮りとをもって正しい者をみだりにそしる偽りのくちびるをつぐませてください。19 あなたを恐れる者のためにたくわえ、あなたに寄り頼む者のために人の子らの前に施されたあなたの恵みはいかに大いなるものでしょう。20 あなたは彼らをみ前のひそかな所に隠して人々のはかりごとを免れさせ、また仮屋のうちに潜ませて舌の争いを避けさせられます。21 主はほむべきかな、包囲された町のようにわたしが囲まれたとき、主は驚くばかりに、いつくしみをわたしに示された。22 わたしは驚きあわてて言った、「わたしはあなたの目の前から断たれた」と。しかしわたしがあなたに助けを呼び求めたとき、わたしの願いを聞きいれられた。23 すべての聖徒よ、主を愛せよ。主は真実な者を守られるが、おごりふるまう者にはしたたかに報いられる。24 すべて主を待ち望む者よ、強くあれ、心を雄々しくせよ。

Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me,.... The Ziphites, and Saul, and his men; the former intending treacherously to betray him, and the latter encompassing him about in order to take him; and such was his danger and difficulty, that he saw none but God could deliver him; and he it is that breaks the nets of men, and the snares of the devil, which they secretly lay for the people of God, that they may stumble, and fall, and be taken, and delivers them out of them;

for thou [art] my strength; the author, giver, and maintainer, both of his natural and spiritual strength; and who was able, and was only able, to pull him out of the net, and extricate him out of the difficulties in which he was.

That they have laid privily for me - That my enemies have laid for me. The phrase “laid privily” refers to the custom of “hiding” or “concealing” a net or gin, so that the wild beast that was to be taken could not see it, or would fall into it unawares. Thus, his enemies designed to overcome him, by springing a net upon him at a moment when he was not aware of it, and at a place where he did not suspect it.

For thou art my strength - My stronghold. My hope of defense is in thee, and thee alone.
