Addar: The variation in this name is occasioned simply by the transposition of a ד, daleth and ר, raish; being in the parallel passage ארד [Strong's H714], Ard, and here אדר [Strong's H146], Addar. Genesis 46:21, Numbers 26:40, Ard
Gill's Notes on the Bible
The sons of Bela were Addar, and Gera, and Abihud. The first of these is thought to be the same with Ard, mentioned among the sons of Benjamin, Genesis 46:21 but was one of his grandsons, see Numbers 26:40 as Gera also was.
