17 ,200 ਵੀਰ ਬਹਾਦੁਰ ਸਨ। 12 ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੁਪ੍ਪੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਪ੍ਪੀਮ ਈਰ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸਨ। ਹੁਸ਼ੀਮ ਅਹੇਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। 13 ਨਫ਼ਤਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ ਯਹਸੀੇਲ, ਗੂਨੀ, ਯਸਰ ਤੇ ਸ਼ੱਲੂਮ।ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਿਲਹਾਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸਨ। 14 ਮਨਸ਼੍ਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਇਉਂ ਹਨ:ਮਨਸ਼੍ਸ਼ਹ ਦੀ ਅਰਾਮੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਣਿਆ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਅਸਰੀੇਲ ਸੀ - ਉਹ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਮਾਕੀਰ ਜਣੀ। 15 ਮਾਕੀਰ ਨੇ ਹੁਪ੍ਪੀਮ ਤੇ ਸ਼ੁਪ੍ਪੀਮ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਭੈਣ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਮਅਕਾਹ ਸੀ। ਦੂਸਰੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸਲਾਫ਼ਹਾਦ ਸੀ। ਸਲਾਫ਼ਹਾਦ ਕੋਲ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਧੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਸਨ। 16 ਮਾਕੀਰ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਮਅਕਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਤੇ ਮਅਕਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਪਰਸ਼ ਰੱਖਿਆ। ਪਰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਰਸ਼ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਊਲਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਕਮ ਸ਼ਰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ। 17 ਊਲਾਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਾਦਾਨ ਸੀ।ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸਨ। ਗਿਲਆਦ ਮਾਕੀਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਕੀਰ ਮਨਸ਼੍ਸ਼ਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ।

these were the sons of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh; that is, were of his posterity, or belonged to his family; for Ulam and Rakem were sons of a brother of Gilead, 1 Chronicles 7:16.

Barnes' Notes on the Bible

These were the sons of Gilead - i. e. these descendants of Machir were reckoned to the family of Gilead. The name “Gilead” prevailed above all others in the line of Manasseh, the term “Gileadite” almost taking the place of “Manassite.”
