In his place: Instead of al omdo, "in his place," the parallel passage, 2 Kings 23:3, has al haammood, "by the pillar;" which is probably the true reading, as the LXX in both places read פןם ףפץכןם, "the pillar." 2 Chronicles 6:13, 2 Kings 11:4, 2 Kings 23:3, Ezekiel 46:2
