36 Ug dihay midalagan ug sa nakapatuhop siyag ispongha nga natugob sa suka, kini gibutang niya sa tumoy sa bagakay ug gitunol ngadto kaniya aron iyang imnon, ug nag-ingon siya, "Pasagdi, tan-awon ta kon moanhi ba si Elias aron sa paghugos kaniya."

And one ran and filled a sponge full of vinegar,.... Christ at the same time saying, I thirst; see John 19:28;
