Proverbs 19:25
scorner = scoffer.

reprove = set right.

the fifth month. The month that Jerusalem was destroyed (Jeremiah 52:12 ; 2 Kings 25:3 , 2 Kings 25:8 ). After that, Jeremiah continued in the Land (Jeremiah 40:1 ; Jeremiah 42:7 ); and, later, in Egypt (chs Jer 43:44 ).

Hosea 13:5
I did know thee, &c. Reference to Pentateuch (Deuteronomy 2:7 ; Deuteronomy 8:15 ; Deuteronomy 32:10 ). Compare Amos 3:2 . The Septuagint reads "I shepherded, or was shepherd to thee", reading re ithika instead of yeda tika : i.e. (Resh = R) for (Daleth = D).
the land of great drought. Compare Deuteronomy 8:15 .
Hosea 2:19
I will betroth, &c. Reference to Pentateuch (Exodus 22:16 . Deuteronomy 20:7 ; Deuteronomy 22:23 , Deuteronomy 22:25 , Deuteronomy 22:27 , Deuteronomy 22:28 ; Deuteronomy 28:30 ). App-92 . Elsewhere only in 2 Samuel 3:14 ("espouse"). Notice the thrice-repeated word here, and in verses: Hosea 2:19 , Hosea 2:20 .

to become fishers of men. The likeness is not conveyed by the Figure of speech Simile, or stated by Metaphor, but is implied by the Figure of speech Hypocatastasis. See App-6 .
Mark 4:37
storm = squall. The earlier storm in Matthew was caused by an earthquake (Greek. seismos) . That storm was before the calling of the Twelve (Matthew 8:24 and Mark 10:1 ). This storm was subsequent (Compare Mark 3:13 ).
beat = were beating Thecefoer an open boat.
fullfilling. In the earlier storm it was gettingcovered.
