Childbearing was not brought into this for eating an apple.

Genesis 9:16 — everlasting covenant. This expression occurs thirteen times in O.T. and once in N.T., making fourteen in all. Genesis 9:16 ; Genesis 17:13 , Genesis 17:19 . Exodus 19:3 — U, and U (p. 85), it will be seen that we have here the first occurrence of this expression, and the first of the six ascents and descents of Moses to receive and give His laws and ordinances.
