1 Kings 4:1-34 to bask in its glory.
(25) Judah & Israel - Solomon attempted to replace the old tribal loyalties with a new, national identity.
(25) Each man living under his own vine and fig tree is a figurative expression for peace and prosperity (Micah 4:4; Zech. 3:10).
The vine and fig tree were both symbols of the nation Israel and pictured the Promised Land’s agricultural abundance.

Intro: Sermons to the Eyes
Tonight we’ll walk through 4/5 miracles in Elisha’s life. Spurgeon said miracles were intended to instruct as well as to impress. They are, Sermons to the Eyes.
Sometimes we are called to be alone with God. Depending on Him alone. In touch with the Source of miracles.
Ezra 5:1-17 they get back to the work, opposition was raised again.
This time they give no heed.
Why? Because...the eye of their God was upon the elders of the Jews. 5:5
The enemy had a short-lived triumph.
About 15 years lapse from the end of ch.4 to 5:1.
During that time God prepares 2 prophets to renew & strengthen the work.

Storms

THE VARIETY OF THE SACRIFICE! (2-17)
The sacrifice could be “of the herd – of the flock – or, of the fowl”.
(2-9) OF THE HERD!

(14-17) OF THE FOWL!
For those not able to present more costly offerings.
No one need allow poverty to keep him from making his offering to the Lord.
No matter how poor or how little we think we have to give to Him – He will receive

Let’s look at a Lopsided Ram, a Hairy He-Goat, Little Horn Syndrome, a Famous Angel, an Infamous Antichrist, & a Disturbed Daniel.
A LOPSIDED RAM (1-4) Medo-Persia
(1) 2 years after the vision in ch.7.
(2) A vision in Persia, yet during the reign of Babylon.
Sushan/Susa is also where Esther would intercede for the lives of her people.

Q: What if everyone in our church constantly lived to delight ourselves in the Lord?(Ps.37:4) … Would that effect God’s blessings/victory’s on our church?
The lesson taught here is for the necessity for the purity of the people, as they were to enter into possession of the land.
Each step reminded Israel of
Numbers 5:1-31 clean.

NAZARETH (1,2)
Nazareth - Archeologist tell us it was nothing more than a hamlet, on a rocky hillside, with no more than 500 people living there.
The people in His hometown had tried to kill Jesus, their homegrown boy, just a year before (Lk 4:29), but He graciously returned and gave them another opportunity to get to know Him.
MORE THAN A CARPENTER (3)
Back in the home church/synagogue he would have attended as a child & young man.
Where did He get this wisdom? He never went to
Acts 6:1-7 kindness, love, & generosity is drawn from.

(3) God cannot & will not ignore sin…thus he brings pressure upon us! (Phys & Emot)
Example: Like a festering sore, it needs either pressure
