Leviticus 6:1-7 against God, for the law of God regulates human conduct in the relationships of man to man(as well as man to God of course).
It is only a “sin” because God named it that.
Wait a minute, didn’t David say, (turn to Ps.51:4)

And this was in regards to the 2 most heinous crimes you could commit against your fellow (namely Bathsheba & Uriah)

THE GREAT CONTRAST! (1-4)
To carry, or be carried…that is the question!
“An idol is a substitute for God, something that we value & serve other than God. We trust it & sacrifice
Isaiah 52:13-15 up” (same term)
Ascending phrases: exalted(raised), extolled(lifted up), very high.
The Servant will ascend to the height of God Himself.
Some say this refers to Christ’s res., ascension, & exaltation.
Jn.3:14 “Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up.”
Prior to the Servants Exaltation, is his Humiliation!
HUMILIATION! (52:14-53:12)
Unrecognizable! (52:14,15)

(2) Tender plant – He wasn’t a great tree just a humble bush.
Dry ground – the nation was barren & dry spiritually.
Our Substitute! (4-6)
(4a) Fulfilled when Christ healed the sick in His earthly ministry.
In His life he dealt with their sickness, in His death their sin!
Christ’s atoning death paid the penalty of sin, not sickness!
Peter interpreted it this way

We’ll take both chapters – See 6:1 & 7:1.
CRUSHING THE HEART OF GOD! (6:1-14)
SYMBOL – Face Mountain & Prophecy! (1,2)
Set your face – Ezekiel uses this 14 times, & it always indicates God’s hostility toward sinful people.

Hosea 1:1-11 less important; small in size, big in truth; These are minor prophets preaching a major message!

(17-21) Overview: The last days(17) means that period of time between Jesus’ 1st
1 Corinthians 11:17-34 that might have brought God displeasure? Have you ever eaten of the Lord’s supper in an unworthy manner? Ever been disrespectful toward communion?

We should also “put away” things that defile. (not only expect God to do this)
Is.1:16 Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil. [4 commands]
James 4:8 Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
So who does the cleaning then? Both!
If alcohol’s an issue, maybe you need to empty it ALL out of your house; get the drugs out of
Hebrews 11:1-7 – Visible – Infrared – Radar – Radio Waves.
The OT writers knew the worlds were framed by simply His spoken Word – Ps.33:6-9
Faith is learning to live by insight rather than by sight.
FAITH DEMONSTRATED (4-7)
Faith is confidence in God that leads to obedience to God, as seen in the rest of the chapter.
To illustrate true faith, the writer points to some Old & NT believers, showing how they trusted God to: bless, provide, protect, lead, conquer,
Revelation 13:1-18 Ivan the Terrible, Lenin, Mussolini, Ceausescu, Hitler, & Saddam Hussein all in one!”
Jesus said, “I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive.” Jn. 5:43
Anti-Christ could say, “If you have seen me, you’ve seen my father!”
Copycat – Remember copying someone’s every movement…until you annoyed them?
Satan is the ultimate copycat. Nothing seems to be
Revelation 2:1-7 Patmos”(John) as he pens 7 Important messages to 7 Important churches!

Why is Christ 1st dealing with the church?
Because judgment begins where? (1 Pet.4:17) “For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?”
So Jesus deals with these 7 churches before he deals with the lost
