Leviticus 15:1-33 and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness.”
Or, it be sliced another way: DISCHARGE FROM INFECTIONS! (1-15); & NORMAL FUNCTIONS OF THE BODY! (16-30)
Regarding normal functions of the body, this brings about ceremonial uncleanness not moral uncleanness.

Ephesians 5:22-33 want to be.
Avoid clicking off “doesn’t apply to me”. Avoid hoping your spouse is listening.
Remember, It’s ultimately about Christ & His Church.
Please give me grace, I can’t say everything about marriage in 45 minutes.
Please also note, as I will be talking about gender roles in a marriage, I need to bring up the topic of gender confusion today. But my desire is to deal with it biblically & sensitively, as many of our youth & many w/in the church

Titus 2:11-15 that one does for another person, expecting no return; but these favors were always done for friends.
Christ gave grace a far richer meaning because the favor He did at Calvary was done not for friends, but for those who hated Him.
Rom.5:10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Titus 3:1-15 has been broken. Shalom has been vandalized. Things are not the way they are supposed to be. As Milton said, It’s paradise lost. (By Dr. David Naugle|Published Date: March 08, 2010 http://www.colsoncenter.org/the-center/columns/indepth/14715-humpty-dumpty)
OFF THE WALL (3)
Every once in awhile the thin veneer is pulled back from humanity & we get a true glimpse of man’s depravity…which isn’t much different
Hebrews 4:1-13 wind blowing against your face all day. [Haleakala summit/warming hut]
It’s like a ship finally pulling into a safe harbor after many days battling a storm tossed sea.
Our theme continues with rest. [Rest in Heb = Noah]
5 rests in Scripture: [1] God’s Sabbath rest [2] Canaan rest after wandering for 40 yrs. [3] the Believer’s rest present at salvation [4] the Overcomers present rest of victory [5] The future Eternal rest in heaven.

SAUL’S
1 Samuel 25:1-44 didn’t always obey Samuel when he was alive, but sure were careful to honor him when he died. Such is human nature.
Samuel put the concerns of God ahead of the politics of the hour.
Saul prepared a public monument for himself at Carmel(15:12); Samuel, who truly deserved recognition, humbly asked to be laid to rest at his own home.
And so goes the spiritual conscience of the nation; the spokesman for God; the anointer of kings!
NABAL, RETURNS EVIL FOR GOOD! (2-11)
Nabal -
1 Samuel 30:1-31 thought was given to the material loss they had sustained.
Instead every men was overcome w/grief over the loss of loving relationships.
Life’s true values lie in our relationships w/1 another, not in our possessions.
Lk.12:15 Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.
A crisis does not make a person; it shows what a person is made of! (Warren Weisrbe)
Like his men, David wept

From Deut.15:1 After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”
