Luke 12:1-12 — in the University of Glasgow, Ed.). The Daily study Bible series, Rev. ed.) Jesus charged the Pharisees w/hypocrisy because they tried to hide what they really were behind masks of outward religious practices. (Shepherd’s Notes; pg.45.) Often when you fear people, you start to hide the truth, & this leads to hypocrisy. When we fear people, then we are in danger of compromising in order to please them. Luke 24:13-27 — appeared to Mary Magdalene (9-11) or, more likely, that He appeared to them in a form different from that in which they had previously recognized Him as Jesus. Jesus’ resurrection body remains a mystery: (Shepherd’s Notes; pg.94) He appeared to the disciples from time to time, usually suddenly. He had a body that could be seen & touched. 2 Timothy 4:1-5 — says to Timothy: “You know what happens when any town is expecting the epiphaneia of the Emperor; you are expecting the epiphaneia of Jesus Christ. Do your work in such a way that all things will be ready whenever he appears.” 2.3.4.1.  So we should so order our life that at any moment we are ready for the coming of Christ. Titus 2:1-10 — independently. Title: Making God’s Word Attractive. Paul is helping Titus understand what holiness looks like for older men, older women, younger men, younger women. Note: Paul doesn’t have a category for middle-aged men. 40 and under was considered young, everyone else was considered old. Whether young or old, married or single, we are all needed in the local church. God has a job for us to do. Regardless of age, gender, occupation, or any other classification.

Outline: 3 Chief Men(8-17); 2 out of 3 of a 2nd Rank (18-23); & The 30 (24-39). Basically the same story is told in 1 Chron.11. There are 16 more names given. Perhaps replacements or alternates.
