Exodus 33:18 LA DIVINA GLORIA
Nehemiah 8:1
A NOTABLE CONGREGATION
‘All the people gathered themselves together as one man.’
Nehemiah 8:1
I. This chapter portrays a great congregation.—All Jerusalem gathered to hearken to the commandments of God. Shall I not pray and work for the coming of the time when religion will be the dominant interest in civic and national life? Both patriotism
I. Este capítulo describe una gran congregación.
Psalms 17:1-15 SATISFECHO
Cuando despierte, estaré satisfecho con tu semejanza.
Salmo 17:15
Aviso:-
Psalms 17:15
SATISFIED
‘I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with Thy likeness.’
Psalms 17:15
Notice:—
I. The date of the satisfaction.—‘When I awake.’ The intermediate state is often in the Bible called sleep. It is a metaphor, chosen not to describe a state of unconsciousness, but to illustrate the peace and the calm of that blessed interval
Psalms 4:4 directions in relation to this holy exercise.—It is clear that meditation is not an act to be learned, but a habit to be formed. We must attain to expertness in it, not by the observance of artificial rules so much as by diligent and persevering practice. (1) David intimates to us the desirableness of securing an outward solemnity and seriousness in this exercise, entire seclusion from all human friendships, the hushing of all voices, both from within and from without, that we may be quite alone with God.
Amos 7:15
TAKEN INTO FELLOWSHIP
‘The Lord took me as I followed the flock.’
Amos 7:15
It was so with the shepherd-king. ‘He chose David also His servant, and took him from the sheepfolds: from following the ewes that gave suck He brought him to feed Jacob His people, and Israel His inheritance.’ It is a blessed experience when the
Micah 1:3-4
THE LORD’S ADVENT
‘The Lord cometh forth out of His place … and the mountains shall be molten under Him.’
Micah 1:3-4
God, said the prophet, would come down in judgment. He loved His people too well to give them over to their sins. God’s one purpose is to set us free from the dominion of evil, for He knows that we can never be really blessed until our bonds are
Deuteronomy 11:32 OBSERVE QUE HACER
Observa cumplir todos los estatutos '.
Deuteronomio 11:32
( v. 23). La debilidad no fue obstáculo
Mark 16:19
ASCENDED INTO HEAVEN
‘So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, He was received up into heaven.’
Mark 16:19
Why is it that the festival of our Lord’s Ascension is so little noticed? Is it because of the practical irreligiousness of our day? Or is it that Christians do not realise the priceless blessings brought thereby?
Throughout the New Testament the
Mark 16:19 ASCENDIDO AL CIELO
Luke 12:10
THE UNPARDONABLE SIN
‘And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not he forgiven.’
Luke 12:10
It is impossible to deny that there is such a thing as an unpardonable sin.
I. What is it?—It would seem to be from our Lord’s words the sin of deliberately rejecting God’s truth with the heart, while the truth is clearly known with the head.
Luke 12:10 EL PECADO INPODERABLE
I. ¿Qué es?

John 1:26
THE UNKNOWN CHRIST
‘There standeth One among you, Whom ye know not.… The same is He that baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.’
John 1:26; John 1:33
Is the charge still true. Is Christ still unknown in His special prerogative as He that baptizeth with the Holy Ghost?
I. Christ is not an absent force.—He is unseen. His bodily presence is removed from us for a time, but He is still

ELECTION
‘Elect … through sanctification of the Spirit’
1 Peter 1:2
The subject of Election is a difficult one, but as brought before us in our text it is one of great simplicity.
I. Election first shows itself in a man’s separation from the world which lieth in wickedness.—This is the first half of the
