(hoh bay' yah) Personal name meaning, “Yah hides.” Clan of priests in time of Zerrubbabel who did not have family records to prove their descent from pure priestly lines and were excluded from the priesthood (Ezra 2:61; Nehemiah 7:63 ). Some translations use Habaiah in one or both texts.
