(jawr' kih am) Personal name meaning, “the people is golden.” Descendant of Caleb (1 Chronicles 2:44 ). This, like other names in the list, may represent a city as well as a person. Many interpreters read Jokdeam here, equating the city with the tribal city of Judah. The location of the city is not known. See Jokdeam; Jorkoam .
