MINNI. A people named in Jeremiah 51:27 along with the Armenians (‘Ararat’) and Scythians (‘Ashkenaz’) as coming assailants of Babylon. They are the Mannai of the Assyrian inscriptions, who dwelt between the lakes Van and Urmia.
