(Latin: omnis, all; potentia, power)
All power, powerful attribute of God; the claim of Cbrist when commissioning the Apostles to teach all nations (Matthew 28). God can do everything that is possible; all things are possible to God. He cannot do what is of itself impossible. As He is infinitely holy, He cannot do evil; it is a sign not of power but of weakness to do evil. Since He is infinitely wise, eternal and unchangeable, He cannot reverse His own decrees. His power is not distinct from His knowledge and will in reality, but only in concept; all three are one in Him.
