Cistercian monastery, Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire, England, founded c.1147by Gilbert de Gant and colonized with monks from Rievaulx Abbey. It was confiscated in 1536 by order of King Henry VIII, owned by a couple of families as part of the estates, and now owned by English Heritage.
