Ra´chel (an ewe), one and the most beloved of the two daughters of Laban, whom Jacob married (, seq.), and who became the mother of Joseph and Benjamin, in giving birth to the latter of whom she died near Bethlehem, where her sepulcher is shown to this day (; ).
