One of the fortified cities of Naphtali (Joshua 19:35). It is probably the same as Hammoth-dor, which was allȯtted to the Levites in Naphtali (ib. 21:32), and which, in the parallel list of 1 Chronicles 6:76, is called "Hammon." For its geographical position see EMMAUS.
