Captain under David who came from the town of Shushan, near Ephrath-Bethlehem. He distinguished himself by overcoming a Philistine giant (2 Samuel 21:18; 1 Chronicles 20:4). He is mentioned also in 1 Chronicles 11:29, 27:11, as one of the thirty valiant followers of David. He may be the Mebunnai of 2 Samuel 23:27.
