Berean Study Bible
The priests stood at their posts, as did the Levites with the musical instruments of the LORD, which King David had made for giving thanks to the LORD and with which David had offered praise, saying, "For His loving devotion endures forever." - Across from the Levites, the priests sounded trumpets, and all the Israelites were standing.
English Standard Version
The priests stood at their posts the Levites also with the instruments for music to the Lord that King David had made for giving thanks to the Lord for his steadfast love endures forever whenever David offered praises by their ministry opposite them the priests sounded trumpets and all Israel stood
Holman Christian Standard Version
The priests and the Levites were standing at their stations. The Levites had the musical instruments of the Lord, which King David had made to praise the Lord - "for His faithful love endures forever" - when he offered praise with them. Across from the Levites, the priests were blowing trumpets, and all the people were standing.
King James Version
And the priests waited on their offices: the Levites also with instruments of musick of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever, when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets ( before them, and all Israel stood (8802).
Lexham English Bible
And the priests stood at their posts with the Levites, with the instruments of the song of Yahweh that King David had made to give thanks to Yahweh— for his loyal love is everlasting— whenever David offered praise by their hand. Now the priests sounded trumpets standing opposite them, and all Israel stood.
New American Standard Version
The priests stood at their posts, and the Levites also, with the instruments of music to the Lord, which King David had made for giving praise to the Lord--"for His lovingkindness is everlasting"--whenever he gave praise by their means, while the priests on the other side blew trumpets; and all Israel was standing.
World English Bible
The priests stood, according to their positions; the Levites also with instruments of music of Yahweh, which David the king had made to give thanks to Yahweh, when David praised by their ministry, saying "For his loving kindness endures for ever." The priests sounded trumpets before them; and all Israel stood.
