ba·‘ă·lî·yā·ṯōw

בַּעֲלִיָּת֛וֹ

בְּשֹׁמְר֖וֹן

and was sick

וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח

of Baal-zebub

I shall recover

of this disease

But the angel

הַתִּשְׁבִּ֔י

the messengers

šō·mə·rō·wn;

ha·mib·bə·lî

הַֽמִבְּלִ֤י

[there is] a God

bə·yiś·rā·’êl,

בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

of Baal-zebub

Now therefore

you are gone up

do come down

shall surely

And departed

when turned back

way·yā·šū·ḇū

וַיָּשׁ֥וּבוּ

the messengers

ham·mal·’ā·ḵîm

הַמַּלְאָכִ֖ים

And they said

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֨וּ

liq·rā·ṯê·nū,

לִקְרָאתֵ֗נוּ

wə·ḏib·bar·tem

וְדִבַּרְתֶּ֣ם

ha·mib·bə·lî

הַֽמִבְּלִ֤י

[there is] a God

bə·yiś·rā·’êl,

בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

of Baal-zebub

do come down

shall surely

[was he] came up

liq·raṯ·ḵem;

לִקְרַאתְכֶ֑ם

you and told

had·də·ḇā·rîm

הַדְּבָרִ֖ים

way·yō·mə·rū

וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ

[He was] a hairy

and with a sash

about his loins

bə·mā·ṯə·nāw;

בְּמָתְנָ֑יו

הַתִּשְׁבִּ֖י

Then the king sent

וַיִּשְׁלַ֥ח

And with his fifty

wa·ḥă·miš·šāw;

וַחֲמִשָּׁ֑יו

and he went up

And he spoke

unto him you

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm,

הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים

And answered

way·ya·‘ă·neh

’ê·lî·yā·hū,

ha·ḥă·miš·šîm

הַחֲמִשִּׁים֒

and If [are]

then let fire

haš·šā·ma·yim,

הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם

and your fifty

ḥă·miš·še·ḵā;

חֲמִשֶּׁ֑יךָ

And there came down

haš·šā·ma·yim,

הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם

and consumed

and his fifty

חֲמִשָּֽׁיו׃

also he sent

וַיִּשְׁלַ֥ח

to him another

And with his fifty

wa·ḥă·miš·šāw;

וַחֲמִשָּׁ֑יו

and he answered

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm,

has the king

And answered

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙

haš·šā·ma·yim,

הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם

and your fifty

ḥă·miš·še·ḵā;

חֲמִשֶּׁ֑יךָ

And came down

haš·šā·ma·yim,

הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם

and consumed

and his fifty

חֲמִשָּֽׁיו׃

וַיִּשְׁלַ֛ח

of the third

and with his fifty

wa·ḥă·miš·šāw;

וַחֲמִשָּׁ֑יו

ha·ḥă·miš·šîm

הַחֲמִשִּׁ֨ים

haš·šə·lî·šî

הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֜י

בִּרְכָּ֣יו ׀

’ê·lî·yā·hū,

way·yiṯ·ḥan·nên

וַיִּתְחַנֵּ֤ן

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm,

הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים

and the life

your servants

in your sight

bə·‘ê·ne·ḵā.

בְּעֵינֶֽיךָ׃

haš·šā·ma·yim,

הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם

and burnt up

ha·ḥă·miš·šîm

הַחֲמִשִּׁ֛ים

of the former

hā·ri·šō·nîm

הָרִאשֹׁנִ֖ים

with their fifties

ḥă·miš·šê·hem;

חֲמִשֵּׁיהֶ֑ם

therefore let my life

in your sight

bə·‘ê·ne·ḵā.

בְּעֵינֶֽיךָ׃

’ê·lî·yā·hū,

אֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ

be not afraid

And he arose

and went down

you have sent

of Baal-zebub

ha·mib·bə·lî

הַֽמִבְּלִ֤י

[there is] God

bə·yiś·rā·’êl,

בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

of His word?

you are gone up

do come down

shall surely

according to the word

’ê·lî·yā·hū,

וַיִּמְלֹ֤ךְ

in his place

of Jehoshaphat

yə·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ

יְהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט

אֲחַזְיָ֖הוּ
