מִמַּֽעֲלֵ֣י

וּמִמַּפְרִיסֵ֥י

haš·šə·sū·‘āh;

הַשְּׁסוּעָ֑ה

[as] the camel

hā·’ar·ne·ḇeṯ

הָאַרְנֶ֨בֶת

though they chew

and the hoof

do but divide [are]

[is] and not

[is] unclean

of their flesh

mib·bə·śā·rām

מִבְּשָׂרָם֙

and their dead carcass

ū·ḇə·niḇ·lā·ṯām

וּבְנִבְלָתָ֖ם

you shall eat

in the waters

wə·qaś·qe·śeṯ

וְקַשְׂקֶ֖שֶׂת

shall you eat

but anything

wə·qaś·qe·śeṯ

וְקַשְׂקֶ֖שֶׂת

[is] unclean

you shall eat

and the bearded vulture

וְהָֽעָזְנִיָּֽה׃

הַֽיַּעֲנָ֔ה

the night hawk

לְמִינֵֽהוּ׃

The little owl

the great owl

hay·yan·šūp̄

הַיַּנְשׁ֖וּף

and the swan

wə·hat·tin·šā·meṯ.

וְהַתִּנְשָֽׁמֶת׃

And the pelican

wə·haq·qā·’āṯ

the gier-eagle

hā·rā·ḥā·māh

the cormorant

הַשָּׁלָֽךְ׃

And the stork

wə·ha·ḥă·sî·ḏāh,

וְהַ֣חֲסִידָ֔ה

and the heron

wə·hā·’ă·nā·p̄āh

וְהָאֲנָפָ֖ה

in their kinds

and the hoopoe

wə·had·dū·ḵî·p̄aṯ

וְהַדּוּכִיפַ֖ת

wə·hā·‘ă·ṭal·lêp̄.

וְהָעֲטַלֵּֽף׃

creeping thing

בִּשְׁעָרֶ֜יךָ

תִּֽירֹשְׁךָ֣

and of your oil

wə·yiṣ·hā·re·ḵā,

וְיִצְהָרֶ֔ךָ

and the firstborn

of your herd

and of your flocks

wə·ṣō·ne·ḵā;

to the end that

you may learn

[or] the place you

ham·mā·qō·wm,

shall choose

’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā,

yə·ḇā·reḵ·ḵā

’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā.

Then shall you turn [it]

wə·nā·ṯat·tāh

bak·kā·sep̄;

and adversary

in your hand

bə·yā·ḏə·ḵā,

and shall go

wə·hā·laḵ·tā

וְהָֽלַכְתָּ֙

ham·mā·qō·wm,

shall choose

and you shall bestow

wə·nā·ṯat·tāh

or for sheep

ū·ḇay·ya·yin

וּבַיַּ֙יִן֙

or for strong drink

ū·ḇaš·šê·ḵār,

וּבַשֵּׁכָ֔ר

tiš·’ā·lə·ḵā

תִּֽשְׁאָלְךָ֖

and you shall eat

wə·’ā·ḵal·tā

וְאָכַ֣לְתָּ

in the presence

’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā,

and you shall rejoice

wə·śā·maḥ·tā

וְשָׂמַחְתָּ֖

and your household

that the Levite

wə·hal·lê·wî

[is] inside your gates

biš·‘ā·re·ḵā

בִּשְׁעָרֶ֖יךָ

do forsake him

ṯa·‘az·ḇen·nū;

תַֽעַזְבֶ֑נּוּ

nor inheritance

wə·na·ḥă·lāh

you shall bring forth

of your increase

tə·ḇū·’ā·ṯə·ḵā,

תְּבוּאָ֣תְךָ֔

in that year

and shall lay [it] up

wə·hin·naḥ·tā

וְהִנַּחְתָּ֖

inside your gates

biš·‘ā·re·ḵā.

בִּשְׁעָרֶֽיךָ׃

and shall come

nor inheritance

wə·na·ḥă·lāh

and you and the stranger

and the fatherless

wə·hay·yā·ṯō·wm

וְהַיָּת֤וֹם

and the widow

wə·hā·’al·mā·nāh

וְהָֽאַלְמָנָה֙

inside your gates

biš·‘ā·re·ḵā,

בִּשְׁעָרֶ֔יךָ

and shall eat

and be satisfied

wə·śā·ḇê·‘ū;

to the end that

yə·ḇā·reḵ·ḵā

that the LORD

your God you

’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā,

of your hand
