yə·ša‘·yā·hū

יְשַׁעְיָ֖הוּ

that they may go

into the gates

of the nobles

have commanded

my consecrated ones

lim·qud·dā·šāy;

לִמְקֻדָּשָׁ֑י

my mighty ones

ḡib·bō·w·ray

To [execute] My anger

[even] those who rejoice

in my highness

ga·’ă·wā·ṯî.

גַּאֲוָתִֽי׃

of a multitude

on the mountains

as of a great

a tumultuous

mam·lə·ḵō·wṯ

gathered together

ne·’ĕ·sā·p̄îm,

נֶֽאֱסָפִ֔ים

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ,

from the end

haš·šā·mā·yim;

הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם

[even] The LORD

and the weapons

of his indignation

the whole land

[is] at hand

as a destruction

from the Almighty

it shall come

תִּרְפֶּ֑ינָה

And they shall be afraid

wə·niḇ·hā·lū

וְֽנִבְהָ֓לוּ ׀

wa·ḥă·ḇā·lîm

וַֽחֲבָלִים֙

shall take hold

as a women that travails

kay·yō·w·lê·ḏāh

כַּיּוֹלֵדָ֖ה

they shall be in pain

they shall be terrified

[shall be as] flames

and both with wrath

to make atonement

and the sinners

wə·ḥaṭ·ṭā·’e·hā

וְחַטָּאֶ֖יהָ

he shall destroy

thereof out of

mim·men·nāh.

haš·šā·ma·yim

הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙

and the constellations

ū·ḵə·sî·lê·hem,

וּכְסִ֣ילֵיהֶ֔ם

shall be darkened

הַשֶּׁ֙מֶשׁ֙

in his going forth

and the moon

cause her light

and I will punish

ū·p̄ā·qaḏ·tî

וּפָקַדְתִּ֤י

[their] evil

for their iniquity

and to cease

wə·hiš·bat·tî

וְהִשְׁבַּתִּי֙

I will cause the arrogance

of the proud

and the haughtiness

wə·ḡa·’ă·waṯ

of the terrible

will lay low

אַשְׁפִּֽיל׃

more precious

than fine gold

and even a man

than the golden wedge

I will shake

and shall remove

from its place

mim·mə·qō·w·māh;

מִמְּקוֹמָ֑הּ

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ,

and in the day

of his fierce

And it shall be

as the chased

that as a sheep

do to gather

they shall every man

his own people

and every one

his own land

that is found

shall be thrust through

that every one

הַנִּסְפֶּ֖ה

[unto them] shall fall

by the sword

and Their children

wə·‘ō·lə·lê·hem

וְעֹלְלֵיהֶ֥ם

also shall be dashed

yə·ruṭ·ṭə·šū

יְרֻטְּשׁ֖וּ

Before their eyes

lə·‘ê·nê·hem;

לְעֵֽינֵיהֶ֑ם

shall be spoiled

יִשַּׁ֙סּוּ֙

their houses

בָּֽתֵּיהֶ֔ם

and their wives

וּנְשֵׁיהֶ֖ם

[tiš·šā·ḡal·nāh

[תִּשָּׁגַלְנָה

(tiš·šā·ḵaḇ·nāh.

(תִּשָּׁכַֽבְנָה׃

I will stir up

the Medes them

[as for] and gold

[Their] bows

ū·qə·šā·ṯō·wṯ

וּקְשָׁת֖וֹת

the young men

also shall dash

tə·raṭ·ṭaš·nāh;

תְּרַטַּ֑שְׁנָה

and on the fruit

yə·ra·ḥê·mū,

And shall be

wə·hā·yə·ṯāh

mam·lā·ḵō·wṯ,

of the Chaldean

כַּשְׂדִּ֑ים

kə·mah·pê·ḵaṯ

כְּמַהְפֵּכַ֣ת

be inhabited

It shall never

shall it be dwelled

from generation

and to generation

shall the Arabian

and shall the shepherds

make their fold

and shall lie

wə·rā·ḇə·ṣū-

But wild beasts of the wilderness

and shall be full

their houses

of doleful creatures

and shall dwell

וּשְׂעִירִ֖ים

yə·raq·qə·ḏū-

And shall cry

the wild beasts of the islands

in their fortified

bə·’al·m·nō·w·ṯāw,

בְּאַלְמנוֹתָ֔יו

בְּהֵ֣יכְלֵי

[their] in pleasant

and her days

do be prolonged

yim·mā·šê·ḵū.

יִמָּשֵֽׁכוּ׃
