עֻזִּיָּ֜הוּ

יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

to [wage] war

lam·mil·ḥā·māh

לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה

And it was told

to the house

is confederate

’ep̄·rā·yim;

And was moved

and the heart

of his people

as the trees

yə·ša‘·yā·hū

יְשַׁעְיָהוּ֒

Shear-jashub

of the conduit

hab·bə·rê·ḵāh

of the upper

hā·‘el·yō·w·nāh,

הָעֶלְיוֹנָ֔ה

on the highway

of the fuller

wə·’ā·mar·tā

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣

and be quiet

and be fainthearted

ū·lə·ḇā·ḇə·ḵā

be fainthearted

hā·‘ă·šê·nîm

הָעֲשֵׁנִ֖ים

on account of the fierce

and with Syria

and of the son

rə·mal·yā·hū.

רְמַלְיָֽהוּ׃

have taken evil

rə·mal·yā·hū

רְמַלְיָ֖הוּ

Let us go up

against Judah

and mistreat it

ū·nə·qî·ṣen·nāh,

וּנְקִיצֶ֔נָּה

and let us make a breach

wə·naḇ·qi·‘en·nāh

וְנַבְקִעֶ֖נָּה

therein for us and set

וְנַמְלִ֥יךְ

in the midst

bə·ṯō·w·ḵāh,

do It shall stand

shall it come to pass

[is] Damascus

and the head

shall Ephraim

that it be not a people

And the head

[is] Samaria

šō·mə·rō·wn,

and the head

[is] of Remaliah

rə·mal·yā·hū;

רְמַלְיָ֑הוּ

ṯa·’ă·mî·nū,

do be established

ṯê·’ā·mê·nū.

way·yō·w·sep̄

’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā;

it either in the depth

in the height

lə·mā·‘ə·lāh.

do I will ask

[Is it] a small thing

will you weary

shall conceive

wə·yō·le·ḏeṯ

and shall call

shall he eat

at the time He knows

shall be forsaken

hā·’ă·ḏā·māh

mə·lā·ḵe·hā.

of on your father

from the day

that Ephraim

[even] the king

And it shall come to pass

[that] the LORD

[is] in the uttermost part

of the rivers

that for the bee

wə·lad·də·ḇō·w·rāh,

וְלַ֨דְּבוֹרָ֔ה

[is] in the land

and they shall come

and shall rest

of them in the desolate

hab·bat·tō·wṯ,

and in the holes

וּבִנְקִיקֵ֖י

of the rocks

has·sə·lā·‘îm;

הַסְּלָעִ֑ים

han·na·‘ă·ṣū·ṣîm,

הַנַּ֣עֲצוּצִ֔ים

han·na·hă·lō·lîm.

הַנַּהֲלֹלִֽים׃

In that on the day

with a razor

that is hired

haś·śə·ḵî·rāh

הַשְּׂכִירָ֜ה

from regions

and the hair

hā·raḡ·lā·yim;

הָרַגְלָ֑יִם

and it shall also

And it shall come to pass

shall nourish

[that] a man

And it shall come to pass

of the abundance

[that] they shall give

he shall eat

that is left

han·nō·w·ṯār

And it shall come to pass

[that] place

at a thousand

silver coins

[even] for briers

wə·laš·ša·yiṯ

וְלַשַּׁ֖יִת

and with bows

ū·ḇaq·qe·šeṯ

וּבַקֶּ֖שֶׁת

[men] shall come

shall become

with the hoe

בַּמַּעְדֵּר֙

shall be dug

yê·‘ā·ḏê·rūn,

יֵעָ֣דֵר֔וּן

for the sending forth

for the treading

ū·lə·mir·mas

וּלְמִרְמַ֖ס

of lesser livestock
