זְכַרְיָ֖הוּ

of Jeberechiah

yə·ḇe·reḵ·yā·hū.

יְבֶרֶכְיָֽהוּ׃

the prophetess

han·nə·ḇî·’āh,

הַנְּבִיאָ֔ה

and she conceived

Maher-shalal-hash-baz

shall have knowledge

and my mother

shall be taken away

šō·mə·rō·wn,

to me further

haš·ši·lō·aḥ,

ha·hō·lə·ḵîm

rə·mal·yā·hū.

רְמַלְיָֽהוּ׃

Now therefore

of the river

hā·‘ă·ṣū·mîm

הָעֲצוּמִים֙

wə·hā·rab·bîm,

וְהָ֣רַבִּ֔ים

[even] the king

kə·ḇō·w·ḏōw;

and he shall come up

his channels

gə·ḏō·w·ṯāw.

גְּדוֹתָֽיו׃

And he shall pass

on into Judah

בִּֽיהוּדָה֙

he shall overflow

[even] the neck

he shall reach

the stretching out

of its wings

of your land

O you people

and you shall be broken in pieces

and give ear

wə·ha·’ă·zî·nū,

וְהַֽאֲזִ֔ינוּ

hiṯ·’az·zə·rū

הִתְאַזְּר֣וּ

and yourselves and you shall be broken in pieces

hiṯ·’az·zə·rū

הִֽתְאַזְּר֖וּ

and yourselves and you shall be broken in pieces

and it shall come to naught

and instructed me

wə·yis·sə·rê·nî

וְיִסְּרֵ֕נִי

A confederacy

In regard to all

[them to] people

A confederacy

ṯa·‘ă·rî·ṣū.

תַעֲרִֽיצוּ׃

תַקְדִּ֑ישׁוּ

and him [are]

mō·w·ra·’ă·ḵem

and him [are]

ma·‘ă·riṣ·ḵem.

מַֽעֲרִֽצְכֶֽם׃

And he shall be

but a sanctuary

לְמִקְדָּ֑שׁ

of stumbling

ū·lə·mō·w·qêš,

וּלְמוֹקֵ֔שׁ

for the inhabitants

lə·yō·wō·šêḇ

of Jerusalem

yə·rū·šā·lim.

יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

and among them shall stumble

wə·nā·p̄ə·lū

and be broken

wə·niš·bā·rū,

וְנִשְׁבָּ֔רוּ

and be snared

וְנוֹקְשׁ֖וּ

and be taken

wə·nil·kā·ḏū.

וְנִלְכָּֽדוּ׃

the testimony

among my disciples

bə·lim·mu·ḏāy.

בְּלִמֻּדָֽי׃

And I will wait

wə·ḥik·kî·ṯî

וְחִכִּ֙יתִי֙

הַמַּסְתִּ֥יר

from the house

and I will look

wə·qiw·wê·ṯî-

וְקִוֵּ֖יתִֽי־

and the children

wə·hay·lā·ḏîm

וְהַיְלָדִים֙

the LORD [are]

me for signs

ū·lə·mō·wp̄·ṯîm

וּלְמוֹפְתִ֖ים

bə·yiś·rā·’êl;

בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ,

they shall say

those who have familiar spirits

hay·yid·də·‘ō·nîm,

הַיִּדְּעֹנִ֔ים

ham·ṣap̄·ṣə·p̄îm

הַֽמְצַפְצְפִ֖ים

wə·ham·mah·gîm;

וְהַמַּהְגִּ֑ים

and to the testimony

wə·liṯ·‘ū·ḏāh;

וְלִתְעוּדָ֑ה

do they speak

according to this

[there is] light

And they shall pass

hard pressed

and it shall come to pass

they shall be hungry

and they shall fret themselves

wə·hiṯ·qaṣ·ṣap̄,

וְהִתְקַצַּ֗ף

בְּמַלְכּ֛וֹ

and their God

וּבֵאלֹהָ֖יו

lə·mā·‘ə·lāh.

they shall look

and darkness

wa·ḥă·šê·ḵāh

and to darkness

wa·’ă·p̄ê·lāh

[they shall be] and driven
