κερματιστής appears to be practically confined to the NT and the literature dependent upon it. The verb is found in the pass. in P Ryl II. 224(a).5 (ii/A.D.) ἐκερματίσθη : and in P Oxy XII. 1411.12 (A.D. 60) we find the compd. κατακ ̣[ερμα ]τίζειν = ";exchange"; money.
