";hunger"; : cf. P Flor I. 61.54 (A.D. 85) (= Chrest. II. p. 89) λειμοῦ γεν [ομ ]ένου πε [ι ]ν ̣ῶν οὐκ ἀπῄ [τ ]εις [τὸ ]ν πυρόν; The construction c. acc. in Matthew 5:6 appears to be unique. For the reading πίνων not πινῶν in P Par 47.23 see s.v. πίνω, and for the disappearance of the –ήω verbs from the Κοινή see Proleg. p. 54, Thackeray Gr. i. p. 242.
