";falsehood,"; ";untruth"; : cf. Chrest. I. 110A.18 (B.C. 110) οὐθὲν ψεῦδος ἐν τῷ ὅρκῳ ἐστίν, and the Delphic precept Syll 1268ii. 27 ψεῦδος αἰσχύνο [υ. In 2Th. 2:11 τῷ ψεύδει is contrasted with τῆς ἀληθείας (ver. 10). Note that ";among the Persians ‘the Lie’ (Drauga, akin to the Avestan demon Druj) is a comprehensive term for all evil"; (Moulton Exp T xviii. p. 537).
