Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

גָּבִיעַ m. (from the root גָּבַע).

(1)  a cup, bowl, Genesis 44:2, seq.; a large bowl of wine, Jeremiah 35:5, distinguished from כֹּסוֹת the smaller cups into which the wine was poured from this.

(2) calix of flowers, in the ornaments of the holy candlestick. Exodus 25:31, seq.; 37:17, 19 Exodus 37:19, compare Arab. قُبْعَةُ calix of flowers; Heb. קֻבַּעַת cup, bowl.
