Maltese dibsi, yellow, i.e. honey colour, No verb from which this noun can come exists in the Phœnicio-Shemitic languages; but there is also formed from such a verb, Gr. τιθαιβώσσω to make honey, Od. xiii. 106. Specially it is

(2) honey of grapes, i.e. must or new wine boiled down to a third or half; (Gr. ἕψημα, Lat. sapa, defrutum, Ital. musto cotto;) which is now commonly carried into Egypt out of Palestine, especially out of the district of Hebron (comp.
