Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition
אוֹבִיל [Obil], 1 Chronicles 27:30, pr.n. of an Ishmaelite who had the charge of David’s camels. It denotes prop. one who is set over camels, like the Arab. أَباَّلُ and أَبِيلُ from إِبْلُ camels. The form אוֹבִיל is for אוֹבֵל, like תּוֹמִיךְ for תּוֹמֵךְ, Psalms 16:5.
