 [כִּיד] noun [masculine] only suffix כִּידוֺ Job 21:20, meaning unknown; read probably מִּידוֺ his misfortune (as Job 12:5 etc.)

כיד (√ of following; compare perhaps Arabic in sense labour, take pains, strive, or struggle with, war).

Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

כִּיד an unused root. Arab. كَادَ Med. Ye, to use deceit, prop., I believe, to ensnare, so that it is cognate to the verbs אָכַד, אָגַד, and others, with which it is compared under that root. Hence كَيْدُ deceit, snares; also destruction, ruin, war. So the Hebr.
