אִישׁ־בּשֶׁת (“man of shame,” i.e. shaming himself, perhaps bashful), [Ish-bosheth], pr.n. of a son of Saul, who after the death of his father and brothers governed eleven tribes for two years in opposition to David. -2Sa 24:1-25.
