עֵדֶר m.

(1) with suff. עֶדְרוֹ a flock, Genesis 29:2, Genesis 29:3, Genesis 29:8, and so frequently; עֵדֶר יְהֹוָה a flock of Jehovah, a name for the people of Israel, Jeremiah 13:17.

(2) [Eder], pr.n.

(a) of a town in the south of the tribe of Judah, Joshua 15:21.

(b) m. 1 Chronicles 23:23, 24:30 compare מִגְדַּל עֵדֶר p. 447, B.
