רָפַד fut. יִרְפַּד to strew, to spread out, Job 41:22 (cogn. to רָבַד).

Piel

(1) to spread out a bed, Job 17:13.

(2) to support, i.e. to refresh a wearied person, Song of Solomon 2:5. Compare סָעַד No. 2.
