Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

תְּרוּפָה f. medicine, Vulg. medicina, LXX. ὑγίεια, compare Revelation 22:2, θεραπεία. Prop., as I suppose, medical powder, from the root רוּף to make small. Others attribute to this root the signification of healing, taken from רָפָא. Ezekiel 47:12.
