I saw Ephraim as a grove of palm trees planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring out his sons to the slayer.

And Ephraim is a heifer that is taught, that loves to tread out [the grain]; but I have passed by her fair neck: I will set a rider on Ephraim; Judah shall plow, Jacob shall break his clods.

Yet I taught Ephraim to walk; He took them up in his arms; but they did not know that I healed them.

They shall not return into the land of Egypt; but the Assyrian shall be their king, because they refused to return [to me].

But I am Yahweh your God from the land of Egypt; I will yet again make you to dwell in tents, as in the days of the solemn feast.

When Ephraim spoke, there was trembling; he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died.

Yet I am Yahweh your God from the land of Egypt; and you shall know no god but me, and besides me there is no savior.

Who is wise, that he may understand these things? prudent, that he may know them? for the ways of Yahweh are right, and the just shall walk in them; but transgressors shall fall therein.

but I will remove far off from you the northern [army], and will drive it into a land barren and desolate, its forepart into the eastern sea, and its hinder part into the western sea; and its stench shall come up, and its ill savor shall come up, because it has done great things.

And Yahweh will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but Yahweh will be a refuge to his people, and a stronghold to the sons of Israel.

But Judah shall abide forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.

but I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, and it shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad.

but I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.

but I will send a fire on the wall of Tyre, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.

but I will send a fire on Teman, and it shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.

But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind;

but I will send a fire on Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth; and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet;

but I will send a fire on Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.

But you gave the Nazirites wine to drink, and commanded the prophets, saying, Don't prophesy.

The lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord Yahweh has spoken; who can but prophesy?
