In that day Yahweh will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the one who stumbles among them in that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of Yahweh before them.

And I will bring the third part through the fireAnd refine them as silver is refinedAnd test them as gold is tested.They will call on My name,And I will answer them;I will say, ‘They are My people,'And they will say, ‘Yahweh is my God.'"

And you will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; indeed, you will flee just as you fled before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then Yahweh, my God, will come, and all the holy ones with Him!

"Do we not all have one father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously each against his brother so as to profane the covenant of our fathers?

Judah has dealt treacherously, and an abomination has been done in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah has profaned the sanctuary of Yahweh which He loves and has married the daughter of a foreign god.

For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with wrong," says Yahweh of hosts. "Be careful then to keep your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously."

You have wearied Yahweh with your words. But you say, "How have we wearied Him?" In that you say, "Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of Yahweh, and He delights in them," or, "Where is the God of justice?"

"Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?' In tithes and contributions.

You have said, ‘It is worthless to serve God; and what gain is it that we have kept His charge and that we have walked in mourning before Yahweh of hosts?

So now we call the arrogant blessed; not only are the doers of wickedness built up, but they also test God and escape.'"

So you will return and see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.

"Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which translated means, "God with us."

But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Then after being warned by God in a dream, he departed for the district of Galilee,

and do not suppose that you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham for our father'; for I say to you that from these stones God is able to raise up children to Abraham.

And after being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming upon Him,

And the tempter came and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."

But He answered and said, "It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.'"

and *said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written,‘He will command His angels concerning You';and‘On their hands they will bear You up,Lest You strike Your foot against a stone.'"

Jesus said to him, "Again, it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.'"

Then Jesus *said to him, "Go, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.'"
