But he said to them, "Not everyone can accept this saying but those to whom it has been given.

Then children were brought to him so that he could lay his hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them.

But Jesus said, "Allow the children, and do not forbid them to come to me, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."

And he said to him, "Why are you asking me about what is good? There is one who is good. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments!"

But when the young man heard the statement, he went away sorrowful, because he was one who had many possessions.

But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With human beings this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

But he answered one of them and said, ‘Friend, I am not doing you wrong. Did you not come to an agreement with me for a denarius?

Take what is yours and go! But I want to give to this last person the same as I gave to you also.

But Jesus answered and said, "You do not know what you are asking! Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink?" They said to him, "We are able."

He said to them, "You will indeed drink my cup, but to sit at my right hand and at my left is not mine to grant, but is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father."

But Jesus called them to himself and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in high positions exercise authority over them.

It will not be like this among you! But whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

And the crowd rebuked them so that they would be quiet. But they called out all the more, saying, "Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!"

And he said to them, "It is written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,' but you have made it a cave of robbers!"

But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children shouting in the temple courts and saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" they were indignant.

And Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will do not only what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea," it will happen!

But if we say, ‘From men,' we are afraid of the crowd, because they all look upon John as a prophet."

And he answered and said, ‘I do not want to!' But later he changed his mind and went.
