And hasn't he made [them] one [flesh] in order to have spiritual blood-relatives? For what the one [flesh] seeks is a seed from God. Therefore, take heed to your spirit, and don't break faith with the wife of your youth.

"For I hate divorce," says Adonai the God of Isra'el, "and him who covers his clothing with violence," says Adonai -Tzva'ot. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and don't break faith.

You have wearied Adonai with your words. Yet you ask, "How have we wearied him?" By saying that anyone who does wrong is good from Adonai 's perspective, and that he is delighted with them; or by asking, "Where is the God of justice?"

Can a person rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, ‘How have we robbed you?' In tenths and voluntary contributions.

By saying, ‘There is no point in serving God. What good is it to obey his orders or to walk about as mourners before Adonai -Tzva'ot?

We consider the arrogant happy; also evildoers prosper; they put God to the test; nevertheless, they escape.'"

Then once again you will see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between the person who serves God and one that doesn't serve him. For the day is coming, burning like a furnace, when all the proud and evildoers will be stubble; the day that is coming will set them ablaze," says Adonai -Tzva'ot, "and leave them neither root nor branch. But to you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will break out leaping, like calves released from the stall. You will trample the wicked, they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I take action," says Adonai -Tzva'ot. "Remember the Torah of Moshe my servant, which I enjoined on him at Horev, laws and rulings for all Isra'el. Look, I will send to you Eliyahu the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible Day of Adonai . He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers; otherwise I will come and strike the land with complete destruction." "The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call him ‘Immanu El." (The name means, "God is with us.")

"Turn from your sins to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near!"

If you have really turned from your sins to God, produce fruit that will prove it!

And don't suppose you can comfort yourselves by saying, ‘Avraham is our father'! For I tell you that God can raise up for Avraham sons from these stones!

It's true that I am immersing you in water so that you might turn from sin to God; but the one coming after me is more powerful than I — I'm not worthy even to carry his sandals — and he will immerse you in the Ruach HaKodesh and in fire.

As soon as Yeshua had been immersed, he came up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, he saw the Spirit of God coming down upon him like a dove,

The Tempter came and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, order these stones to become bread."

"If you are the Son of God," he said, "jump! For the Tanakh says, ‘He will order his angels to be responsible for you. . . . They will support you with their hands, so that you will not hurt your feet on the stones.'"

Yeshua replied to him, "But it also says, ‘Do not put Adonai your God to the test.'"

"Away with you, Satan!" Yeshua told him, "For the Tanakh says, ‘Worship Adonai your God, and serve only him.'"

From that time on, Yeshua began proclaiming, "Turn from your sins to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near!"

"How blessed are the pure in heart! for they will see God.

"How blessed are those who make peace! for they will be called sons of God.
