So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him."

Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!

But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that 'by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.' Deuteronomy 19:15">[fn]

And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.

Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made.

"But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, "Pay me what you owe!'

And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt.

So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."

He said to them, "Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.

But He said to them, "All cannot accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given:

Mark 10:13-16; Luke 18:15-17">[xr] Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them.

But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

So He said to him, "Why do you call Me good? [fn] No one is good but One, that is, God. [fn] But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments."

But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

But when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise received each a denarius.

But he answered one of them and said, "Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius?

So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen." [fn]
