Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God.

Who turning, said to Peter: Go behind me, Satan, thou art a scandal unto me: because thou savourest not the things that are of God, but the things that are of men.

Therefore now they are not two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder.

Who said to him: Why askest thou me concerning good? One is good, God. But if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

And Jesus beholding, said to them: With men this is impossible: but with God all things are possible.

And Jesus went into the temple of God and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple and overthrew the tables of the money changers and the chairs of them that sold doves.

Which of the two did the father’s will? They say to him: The first. Jesus saith to them: Amen I say to you that the publicans and the harlots shall go into the kingdom of God before you.

Therefore I say to you that the kingdom of God shall be taken from you and shall be given to a nation yielding the fruits thereof.

And they sent to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying: Master, we know that thou art a true speaker and teachest the way of God in truth. Neither carest thou for any man: for thou dost not regard the person of men.

They say to him: Caesar’s. Then he saith to them: Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s; and to God, the things that are God’s.

And Jesus answering, said to them: You err, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.

For in the resurrection they shall neither marry nor be married, but shall be as the angels of God in heaven.

And concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read that which was spoken by God, saying to you:

I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.

Jesus said to him: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart and with thy whole soul and with thy whole mind.

And he that sweareth by heaven sweareth by the throne of God and by him that sitteth thereon.

And they said: This man said, I am able to destroy the temple of God and after three days to rebuild it.

But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest said to him: I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us if thou be the Christ the Son of God.

Jesus saith to him: Thou hast said it. Nevertheless I say to you, hereafter you shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of the power of God and coming in the clouds of heaven.

And saying: Vah, thou that destroyest the temple of God and in three days dost rebuild it: save thy own self. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.
